White paper: COSuser - a description of its architecture

Abstract

It is a general matter of agreement among industry analysts that printing costs commercial organizations between 1% and 3% of annual revenues. Any significant reduction in printing costs can therefore make a significant difference to company profitability and release funds for further IT investment. When a reduction in print costs can be combined with a marked improvement in service levels then a forceful argument exists for acquiring the enabling technology.

The recent burst of legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the European directives provides an additional incentive for organisations to control access to critical output and audit its distribution.

This white paper discusses a low cost print spooling and output management solution for mid to large size organizations that produces benefits in efficiency, control, improved service levels, security, auditing and compliance.
